December 6. A very special days for the Tedescos. My father Jack Tedesco chose to die at home under hospice care in the company of my mother Ann, my sister Paula and myself in 1988. I flew in from Seoul, Korea to my parents' home in Florida the day before. Dad died around 2 am the next morning December 6th, their 43rd wedding anniversary. We believe he waited for me to arrive before passing. December 6th, 2006, eighteen years later, Mom died at Paula's home. Mom and Dad lived together faithfully through thick and thin, working hard, saving money, devoted to their children and pets. Their son's wanderings caused them much sorrow and anxiety. The are buried together at a national veterans' cemetery. They are not forgotten. We still bask in their unfailing love for us.
