The True Dharma International Buddhist Mission is an association of lay and ordained Buddhists on the endless path of "liberating all sentient beings from suffering". Idealistic? Grandiose. Impossible.
To save all beings from the wheel of birth and death is the Mahayana Buddhist bodhisattva vow of "enlightening beings". This purpose, this intention is our very being- spontaneously responding to suffering with compassion "by any means possible". We are the beings who suffer and those who become free from suffering. The mirage of selfhood, of our "name and form", the importance of our identity and the sense of permanence and solidity, something "out there", disappears.
